Getting Started

Sections Mod is in early development. These instructions describe the intended installation flow.

Installation (HACS)

1. Add this repository to HACS as a custom repository (category: Integration).

2. Install Sections Mod.

3. Add the integration to your configuration.yaml:

   sections_mod:

4. Restart Home Assistant.

Sections Mod serves its own frontend bundle and registers it automatically — there is no manual Lovelace resource to add.

What happens next

Once loaded, Sections Mod observes your Sections dashboards and applies a layout based on the current runtime context (screen size, touch capability, and more). In edit mode it always falls back to the standard layout so the native editor and drag & drop keep working.

There is no configuration in v1 — sensible defaults are built in. Configuration via Config Entries arrives in a later version.
